About
Mary Jane is a Miami-based producer, DJ, singer and songwriter. Born in Kentucky and raised in Canada, she was writing and producing in Ableton before she was twenty and arrived in Miami with a sound already her own: psychedelic indie blended with funk, acid and Italo disco, grounded in house, often carried by her own vocals.
Her records have found serious ears. "Love Down" with Maesic, released on Diplo's Higher Ground, was named an Essential New Tune by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1; "Please You" with Yamagucci on Maccabi House reached number two on Beatport's deep house chart. She has played Club Space, Medium Cool and III Points in Miami, House of Yes in Brooklyn, and festivals including Art With Me and We Belong Here.
On a dance floor, her sets intertwine nostalgic and modern sounds into something funky and accessible: a floor that moves from the first record and keeps moving.
