Derek Walin is one of the leading private-event DJs in the country, with clients ranging from Fortune 500 brands to high-profile couples and events from Miami Beach to the South of France. Born and raised in Boca Raton, he started DJing at 13 and had played hundreds of private events across the U.S. before finishing high school.
His style is open format in the truest sense: disco, funk, classic house, hip-hop, Latin, and the right throwback at the right moment, mixed so that a room of three generations stays on the floor together. From 2011 to 2015 he held a Friday residency at LIV at Fontainebleau, opening for international headliners, and he still plays nightlife, which is why his private-event sets carry real energy rather than wedding-DJ clichés.
Derek is the founder of Dream Machine Entertainment and co-founder of Super Music Group, so behind every booking is a seasoned events team. His work has been featured by Ocean Drive, Brides, Nylon, and Billboard.
